ADVERC OSCA 1212, 1224, 2412 & NEW 2424
(On-board Supplementary Charging Aid).
 The OSCA has been developed as an efficient 3-stage DC battery charger for 12v and 24v batteries usually located an appreciable distance away from the engine or source battery(s) e.g. in the case of towed caravans, bow thrusters.
No mains power is required. The ‘recipient’ battery takes its charge from the ‘donor’ or ‘host’ battery.
Applications:
Automotive - mobile on-board charging of:
- Caravan/Motorhome & Horsebox batteries.
- Mobility, Wheelchair & Scooter batteries 24v.
- Golf Batteries 12v.
- 12v Auxiliary batteries for communication systems (from a 24v battery source) or vice versa.
- 12v & 24v Vehicle batteries.
Marine:
- Electric Winch battery(s).
- Bow Thruster battery(s).
- Auxiliary battery(s) 12v or 24v from 12v or 24v battery source.

Battery charging takes place only when the engine is running, so the OSCA can be permanently installed, if necessary.
The OSCA will switch on only when the host battery is sufficiently charged.

OSCA - Three Stage Charging:
Multistage microprocessor controlled, providing constant current, constant voltage and float modes.
- Constant Current: this enables the batteries to accept the bulk charge.
- Constant Voltage, with proportional timing: the voltage is increased to complete the charge.
- Float: This is the standby voltage, to maintain the battery in a fully charged condition.
Protection:
- Inputs and outputs are both fuse protected.
Installation:
To achieve optimum performance, the OSCA should be located as close as is practicable to the battery being charged.
OSCA's having a finned heat-sink, must be mounted vertically.
Warranty:
12 months from date of purchase against faulty workmanship and materials only.
