Trailer Charging

A recurring problem for drivers involve trailer batteries, tail lifts and sleeper cabs and the 12 v equipment used by them for their own personal use.

A major source of disruption to fleet operators are flat batteries on trailers.

We have designed a fully balanced system which can charge batteries with up to 36 amps.

The TCS incorporates DC-DC chargers, made in the UK, and can be single units or made as modules of two or three chargers.

The engine battery acts as the donor battery for the chargers and the cable, via a dedicated suzi, goes to the trailer charger module.
When the donor battery is being charged, the trailer chargers are enabled and automatically switch off when the donor battery is not being charged.

The system is self diagnostic with indicator lights displaying power and charge status.

The TCS can be bespoke for new build or retrofit.
