The OSCA -P is a range of DC-DC battery chargers. No mains power is required with an OSCA-P. The recipient battery takes its charge from the host or donor battery when it is being charged from another source. The donor battery is protected from going flat and the recipient battery cannot be overcharged.
The OSCA-P range is built to a high specification that gives over 90% efficiency. They are more compact than conventional chargers and are designed to be strong and sturdy while being able to work in extreme conditions from -40ºc to +70ºc, making them favourable for many applications including the MOD.
To provide higher outputs the OSCA-P can be built up in modular form. The OSCA-P also has a float facility that prevents self discharge of the battery, while maintaining and extending the life of the battery. The floating circuit maintains a full charge without overcharging the battery.
It features overload and short circuit protection devices that disconnect the output current so that the unit will not be damaged.
Our OSCA-P DC-DC range can be built bespoke to your specification whether you require a switched or sensed battery charger to suit your needs.
