The Balanced Solution : a logistical necessity!
Having problems with trailer batteries? Don't worry, Adverc have the solution!
Over the years we have found that battery problems on trailers are a major source of disruption to fleet operators. With the assistance of FPD (Fluid Power Design), we have researched, designed and developed a simple fully balanced system, which will charge the trailer batteries at up to 36 amps, when required. We have also considered an additional optional/backup system, which when fitted in conjunction with the main system, can provide an additional 24 amps. The system is self diagnostic with indicator lights displaying power and charge status.
It complies with the draft ISO 25981 and all other current standards. This system has been taken on board by one of the largest postal and international courier services within the UK and Europe, who are specifying it on all new and existing trailers.
Here we have two schematics showing a basic system, and a more expanded system. Click on the diagrams to see full sized images.
The Basic Trailer Charging System with dedicated suzi
Expanded Trailer Charging System with supplementary charging & indicator panel
The Adverc TCS charges batteries using intelligent DC-DC battery chargers, made for us in the UK. This balanced system comprises three components:
- The split DC-DC charger on the tractor unit.
- The charging system on the trailer,
- A dedicated ISO suzi.
The system can be adapted to suit specific needs and situations, whether new build or retrofit.
Why not ask us how we can lower fleet running costs and reduce downtime by maintaining well charged batteries. For further information please contact us.
